Joshua began his salon training at Carsten's beauty school in Tempe, Arizona. He then started his career at Mane Attraction salon in Phoenix, where Kendal Ong mentored him in Vidal Sasoon techniques.
After graduating from their hair program, he was promoted to head cutting instructor and helped train new staff. Joshua also participated in salon makeovers for Channel 12 news.
Building on his strong cutting background using Vidal fundamentals, Joshua pursued further training in business management and cutting at Bumble and Bumble academy in New York throughout 2007. In 2008, he opened his own salon, Salon Joshua, in the east valley.
It became a Bumble and Bumble network salon and was voted a top salon in Arizona on City Search. To stay current with trends and styles, Joshua traveled to New York again to learn razor cutting at Nick Arrojo studios, perfecting this rare skill.
